Biden promoting environmental destruction and human rights abuses in new bills : Comments

By Jay Lehr and Tom Harris, published 19/10/2021

By now, many people are aware of the mass slaughter of wildlife caused by industrial wind turbines. They are nothing less than bird and bat-killing machines that will drive some species to extinction.

There are a number of shortcomings with wind power apart from killing bats and birds. These include spoiling rural vistas, difficulty in recycling old blades, noise or hum and going AWOL when most needed such as in heatwaves. In September the UK with 28 GW of onshore and offshore wind capacity produced less than 1 GW of electricity much of the time. When gas is used for maintaining electricity supply it's getting increasingly expensive.

Supporters of wind power in Australia will say it produces power for $40 a Mwh forgetting to mention the side payment under the LGC subsidy of a similar amount. When there is a wind glut and negative prices many wind farms simply switch off while baseload coal or nuclear plant keep the lights on. Hydrogen enthusiasts tell us surplus wind power could be used for electrolysis except intermittency requires less efficient electrolysers and they won't get the $40 power price they need. I understand the ancient Egyptians had a wind god well it seems to have come back in the form of a new cult.

Bit like the human race.

It's not windmills per se, but the design that's the problem! No bird or bat flies into the tower, just the turbine blades? And could be replaced by low-speed vertical machines? Which would be seen as a solid object to be avoided by bats or birds.

And could be placed in some estuaries to take advantage of ever-present dependable, reliable, day and night, four hours on two hours off, tidal surges.

And given the difference between east and west coasts? Could be supported by a little pumped hydro and superconductor transmission and distribution to power an entire nation?

Floods could present as the only real problem and could b massively ameliorated by myriad upland dams, of modest to small size, that store most of this extra rainfall in the landscape.

Other than that, MSR thorium beckons as a far more reliable and far less expensive, totally bird and bat safe option!

So we have the so called science director at The Heartland Institute and an executive director of the International Climate Science Coalition, both organisations well known for their disinformation and fossil fuel company donations, giving us lectures on environmental behavior?

What a crock.

The issue has left you behind, especially now that the Murdoch empire has moved on.

Build Back Better slogan comes directly from the World Economic Forum's Great Reset initiative via Klaus Schwab. Unelected Schwab said that governments can control our food, forests, gender issues, mobility, human rights, pollution, manufacturing and production, employment, global health, economics, and many other areas — basically all areas of our lives. Trudeau in Canada, Banks and Councils in Australia are also using this slogan.
