I have witnessed the making of racism by racists. Well meaning, decent people abused for doing their job which was to mollycoddle the racists !
The outcome was inevitable. Posted by individual, Thursday, 5 August 2021 5:01:56 PM

The sky is falling! The sky is Falling!
Speaking of race and religion in the US why not check out an essay featured on the Religion Dispatches website by Dianne Stewart titled We've Finally Begun to Confront White Christian Nationalism: But What about Its ("religious") Source Text. And the book by Robert P Jones titled White Too Long The Legacy of White Supremacy in American Christianity. And at a more secular level these truth-telling essays featured on the Counterpunch website Critical Race Theory in Practice by John O'Kane Right-Wing Twisting of CRT by Richard C Gross Can Critical Race Theory Reframe American History Successfully by Nick Licata Politically Correct Racism by Robert Koehler And a related essay by David Swanson titled Remember To Forget The Alamo in which he deconstructs the wall-to-wall (essentially racist) lies about the "heroic" Davy Crockett and the Alamo. As a young boy here in Australia I used to sing Davy, Davy Crockett king of the Wild Crockett and wear a Davy Crockett hat too. It truth Crockett was a life long two-bit scumbag. Dara is quite fond of calling the thousands (even millions)of people associated with quite legitimate political movements of green politics,
Critical Race Theory, and most probably Critical Studies altogether as being "religious" movements. Which is quite ironic because she herself, via her association with the IPA is essentially a "religious" missionary too - the now world dominant "gospel/religion" of "free" market capitalism. This book describes the "religious" nature of what she is associated with: http://herinst.orgsbeder/Books/missionaries.html Also check out the books Suiting Themselves, Selling The Work Ethic, and This Little Kiddy went To Market re how the "gospel" of the mythological "free" market is marketed. Of course there is no such thing as a "free" market, and there never has been. Check out the two truth-telling books by John Perkins The Confessions of an Economic Hit Man Posted by Daffy Duck, Thursday, 5 August 2021 7:10:09 PM

Thanks Dara Macdonald for talking about this contentious topic. Hopefully it will create greater understanding at least among those that aren't in the so called critical race theory camp.

And proven when you see little children who haven't learned to hate yet, playing together as kids will do, if left to play together!
After all, all difference regardless of skin colour, is cultural and learned from our forebears/parents/custodians!
If we are to judge others? Then it should not be on the shade, tan or tone of your skin but the content of your character!
Nelson Mandela, a premier role model we can learn plenty from, but nothing at all from white supremacists/reverse apartheid or colour code activism/victim game/role-playing and the intended guilt trips for other colour code, intended for as yet unborn, recipients!
And kowtowing to this activist group to just win a few brownie points/votes, helps nobody in the long run!
Some who accuse others of racism, need to first look in the mirror, if only to see the real racist in the room? And just how much of their endless, never ever good enough rhetoric, is just more of the same humbug they use to get this or that preferential, taxpayer-funded outcome/power play? As if it were a right!
When the whites invaded this country, weighed down in clanking iron chains. The only real mistake they made was to leave the remnant indigenous population here but should have done to them what was done to the Irish or the Scots in the infamous land clearances etc. Export them halfway around the world and outlaw their native tongue!
As indentured servants for the English aristocracy! At least then the rest of us wouldn't have to tolerate the endless humbug and guilt trips that a not ours
Moreover, there's not a black way or a white way, just a right way!
