When you put your John Handcock to the secret act, you sign away any moral conviction to whistle blow! Regardless of a personal moral code that cries, this is all wrong! These rebels need to have their day in court to face the legal consequences of THEIR actions however moral they appear to be!

Had they simply worn it and keep their yaps shut? This matter would have been thoroughly resolved and to our advantage, with our friendly relationship with East Timourcompletely intact! And given what was in the aid pipeline? A much better off East Timour!

Not for nothing is it writ large, do-gooders often do more harm than good!

I agree with Alan.

International politics is not pretty. Witness K signed the official secrets act which applies whether or not he likes what is being done.
