Murray attempts to paint Malaysia as a demon of censorship.
This is the view from his university cocoon I’m sure.

But as a comparison out here in the Christian West, life is not much different.
discuss this topic with Israel Folau and the baker who refused a request to bake a cake for a gay wedding, ask them for comment on the years of personal torture suffered under the rainbow flag.

Malaysia would have been one the few countries I never expected to be infiltrated by the insidious PC !

Murray puts a very negative slant on defence of culture.

One aspect as he alluded to without elaborating, was the rainbow wars which are not tolerated in Malaysia.

This is the aspect I applaud. Malaysians have a history of defending their unique culture.

I'm with Diver Dan. I have no idea what Murray's beef with Malaysia is, but we Australians need to concentrate on our own threats to freedom of speech, coming from Marxists and some politicians of all persuasions. Very alarming changes are occurring here.

We have no say in Malaysia, which is a beautiful little country where I have felt perfectly safe during my visits.

Diver,
Why do you see the author as demonizing Malaysia? The insidious attitude that criticism of a genuine problem makes you an opponent of the entire country is the root of the problem, and deserves to be opposed everywhere in the world!

Aidan.

Of the full gamut the Malay government acts from, one thing is pleasantly obvious, they are the rulers of their country.
If I were them, I would declare Murray Hunter in his role viz; #Murray Hunter is an associate professor at the University Malaysia Perlis# , a persona non grata for his defamatory statements.

It’s not how Australia works of course, but it should be, and with luck will be.
