Besides age, underlying conditions such as obesity, diabetes, heart issues and respiratory problems were the key factors distinguishing those who suffered few effects and those who plain suffered, and died.

Interesting article, but what can be done to improve health outcomes?

Simple answer to that one is self awareness and personal responsibility.

Waiting for the Government to step in and save the world from itself is a further recipe for failure.

But what governments can do, is improve housing outcomes and job availability, to aid the poor to save themselves.
Gifting China with the jobs traditionally held by unskilled, (read poor), was simply stupid.

The chooks have come home to roost on this subject.

But, having a high rate of poor, sick and welfare dependent citizens, is good for business.
There’s money in them thare hills, as evidenced by the motza poured into aboriginal welfare annually, with little gain in the way of longevity.
