Well, the Senate found Trump not guilty - all that time, money and angst for nothing - and he could be back in four years time. He has survived two idiotic impeachments, and will be able to have another go if he chooses to. Why he would bother with that bunch of crooked ingrates I don't know. But he is the Superman of global politics.

Banjo, I am certainly not writing Biden off. I expect he will do better than Trump.

The US (and West) really has no choice.

Now Hilary Clinton is at risk of being impeached over her time as secretary of state, according to some bigwig, after what was done to Trump despite his being out of office, too.

What a bunch of idiots over politics the Yanks are.

The Republican senators voted for an acquittal because the party wants to win at the next presidential election in fours years.

And I think they will be forced to run with Trump otherwise he will run independently probably attracting a majority of Republican voters with the outcome that the Democrats' candidate will romp home.

So it looks like the Republicans are going to be stuck with Trump as their candidate.

Hopefully the Democrats will win again otherwise I think we will see Trump strutting around as if he is a Hitler or Mussolini.
