It was bad enough that " Ms Jane/Jessica/Juanita Bond" was allowed to hide behind the fake name on the 16th Sept OLO piece, but the fact that despite a total dismissal by commentators to that piece, the poor little scared girlie is back with more.

What a waste of space.... send your next piece of "hyper bowl" to the Guardian where it belongs! They love verbage written by elite brats who travel the world first class sipping Moet and cavier canopes!

Health workers are at least not only on full pay but in most cases grossly under-worked with hospitals three quarters empty. Ditto for senior PS officials although in value for money they are a special kind of economic drag.
Lastly lying, cheating, politicians. Everything they have done has ruined Australia and enriched themselves and all over a version of the common cold from China.
Ordinary people who will be losing their houses and condemning their Grandchildren to pay for all this nonsense will soon be paying the price whether they like it or not.
Time for every sitting politician to be turfed out at the next election and a constitution amendment stopping a political "Career"!

My beef with these arbitrarily enforced decisions, quarantine and border closures, is the fact that science has given us a vastly superior testing method!?

And here I'm referring to the known, 95% accurate Israeli Saliva test, and confirmed results in mere seconds. And if deployed at all critical exit and entry points? Albeit with social distancing, disposal face masks and good hand hygiene the new normal.

Would allow our borders and economy to reopen tomorrow! And ensure only those testing positive would need to be quarantined! And in offshore quarantine stations where their compliance would be compelled and where they'd remain until three consecutive and confirming tests proved negative!

Offhore quarantine would probably allow some outdoor acivities and execise?

Our health workers need reusable face masks/respirators that are fit for purpose and are a good seal. Absolutely essential if you are, like our health workers, exposed to this virus 12+ hours a day. And if Asmptomatic health workers fitted with ill-fitting disposable face masks? Are at the coal face? Totally counterproductive!

It's clear many clusters are the product of infected health workers? And only possible because bumbling bureaucrats without a clue are deciding what equipment is most suitable, i.e., the cheapest? In penny pound stupid decisions, given the useful life of a, good seal, reusable respirator, is clearly the cheapest option, over time. Approved in both the UK, the USA, but not here!

The problem with bureaucrats and decision-making politicians, is their self-evident ability to cherry-pick the science? And are being guided by it to a large extent during the pandemic, but only because they're unavoidably, in the crosshairs?

Whereas, when it comes to climate change? Their science is guided by the idealogical imperative, powerful vested interest or like the, cleaner, safer, cheaper, carbon-free, nuclear option, just ignored.

the only pandemic ever where one needs to be tested to find out if you have it. What a gullible group of sheep we all are. Wear a mask, don't wear a mask, don't protest unless its a deviant leftie cause, get fined for passing the 5k limit but spread the disease if you are a certain race and not be fined, play football but don't go to a parents funeral, object to tyranny and you are a conspiracy theorist, don't worry about any destroyed income because all public servants have lost none. Its time our gutless Federal pollies stopped allowing dictator premiers to play with people's lives because they grow in popularity until the stupid wake up.
