A hero in Namibian history, Presgrave should be recognised and remembered by Australians too

Peter Curson had an article on Edward Presgrave in OLO in October 2019. Around the same time, The Australian declared that Presgrave should also be regarded in the same way as Breaker Morant (Oops! The Marxists had already trashed Morant's reputation by then). And, novelist Tony Park put Presgrave in his fictionalised history, "Ghosts of the Past" in that year. A rattling good yarn.

Presgrave might, or might not, deserve our "recognition" and the right to be "remembered". But he will receive no accolades, given the nastiness of the Left - those now in charge - who hate 'privileged' white males of the past and the present; want to tear down statues and memorials of historic achievers of Western civilisation, and who generally believe only in themselves and only in events which have occurred in their own short lifetimes.
