Bolton'a aim was to do the US and world a favour by helping to get rid of Trump.

To do this Bolton needed to send the contents of his memoir/book to major organisations, like the NYT and WashPost, in good time before the 3rd November 2020 Presidential Election and also Publish the memoir/book in hard copy.

Wikipedia advises http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Bolton#Memoir_and_legal_concerns

"Bolton had submitted the memoir/book for security review in December 2019, and after months of discussions, was told on April 27 by Ellen Knight—the National Security Council's senior director for prepublication review — THAT NO OTHER CLASSIFICATION ISSUES REMAINED."

"On June 16, 2020, the Trump Justice Department attempted to block publication of Bolton's memoir." For Trump's political objectives.

Its actually beyond belief Trump has remained President. What the hell is wrong with these Yanks? And is a 77 year old man with dementia their only alternative?

Hi Jimmy,

Biden might have the sense to choose Michelle Obama as his running mate.

Once he's elected and has steadied the ship and salvaged the furniture from the disastrous Trumpf years, he can gracefully step down and Michelle can take over as President, the first woman to do so - the first Black woman to do so, so far.

And then she can easily get elected against a Republican rabble in 2024.

Beooooodiful !

Hi Joe

Following the money by looking at Sportsbet expectations see
http://www.sportsbet.com.au/betting/politics/us-politics

then click on "Democratic President + VP Ticket" the bookies most strongly expect:

- Kamala Harris (South Asian extraction and part black) has a 51% chance of being picked as running mate by Biden

- Val Demings (also female, black) 25%

- Stacey Abrams (black) 17% chance

then 7 more women including Hillary (H being 7%), until:

- Michelle Obama: also 7% chance.

Joe and public might see Michelle's VPship as being part of a package with Barack.

Though I hope Michelle gets VP job and she's the most popular and qualified.

BUT see http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/495968-new-committee-to-draft-michelle-obama-urges-biden-to-pick-her-as-vp which quotes Biden as saying:

"" “I don’t think she has any desire to live near the White House again.”

Similarly, Valerie Jarrett, a former Obama White House senior adviser, also said the former first lady isn’t interested in the spot. Jarrett told The Hill last month there’s “no chance” Michelle Obama will be Biden’s running mate.

“The reason why I'm being so unequivocal is that there just simply has never been a time when she's expressed an interest in running for office,” Jarrett said in an interview with The Hill. “She’s not demurring here. She’s not being hard to get. She doesn’t want the job."

Cheers

Pete
