Good luck with a gas factory suggestion.

The environmentalist NIMBYs of the leftwing Victorian chatteratti will fight it longtime.

I lived local to Westernport Bay and I never heard of any whales in Westernport, So why lie about something like this? Put's into question everything else said.
These nimbey nutters will probably win unless Chinese money comes up and then little Danny Andrews will do his masters bidding.
Victoria dosen't need jobs it needs labour voters, you ask our premier.

God only knows is going on there? But bound to be a bad outcome and far, far worse than the sale of a Darwin port as the premier, on his own recognisance, signs the state up to, China's belt and road initiative? And now looks like a (God, what have I done) rabbit paralysed in the headlight glare?

With the light at the end of the tunnel a steaming oriental express thundering in his (Victoria's) direction!

Gas is it?

Every Australian family produces enough biological waste, when converted to methane in a biodigester, two-tank ( locally invented) system to power their domiciles, 24/7!

With a salable surplus if all food scraps and wastage are added!

That saleable surplus goes up beyond 50% if that gas is scrubbed then stored in a bladder and fed into ceramic fuel cells, on-demand!

Furthermore, because we can never ever run out of biodegradable human or any other biological waste!

Can never ever run out of this endlessly sustainable, natural gas! And consequential power prices less than a quarter than now!

The byproducts include endless free hot water, thoroughly sanitised reusable nutrient-loaded water and also thoroughly sanitised, carbon-rich, soil improver an in millions of tons annually, for both the latter two.

We'll need huge local steel production to fit and retrofit this smell free closed cycle, gas production system to every household, progressively!

And able to be funded via an averaged power bill (substitution) repayment plan, over say the next thirty or so years and covered by, self-terminating, government-guaranteed, tax-free, infrastructure development bonds!

So, as you see, it can't be done! Understand yet genius?

Oh god!

Victorians like having electricity but like the cargo cultist of the Solomon islands they just want it to drop from heaven, with no dirty generation in their state.

First they stood idly by & let, or even cheered as their premier bought a few green votes & preferences by blowing up a perfectly good power station that supplied much of their electricity. Meanwhile they have let the same mob spend a fortune on buying windmills & solar panels to attempt to replace some of that power.

They have happily let the same mob again ban gas exploration, & new gas extraction, letting them get away with whinging that other peoples gas should be sold to them cheap.

Now with basically useless intermittent, unreliable power from said windmills & solar generation they need much reliable, quick start gas generation to keep the lights on when wind doesn't blow at night or other times when solar doesn't work. As the existing local gas runs out they need more gas, locally sourced or imported.

As no one in their right mind would be interested in exploring for new gas in a ratbag governed state like Victoria, where even if you find it a ratbag government may not let you harvest it. AGL want to import the gas for their generators, & control that gas flow.

Now I don't think AGL are interested in anything but their profit margins, most definitely are not doing this for the benefit of Victorians in general, but we must ask Mr. Victor Komarovsky if he wants the lights to work, because if he does gas must come in somewhere. The name Westernport infers this is considered a port area, so suitable for port development. If not why not, despite a few objectors. You'll get them everywhere.

Perhaps these objectors should have done something with their voting, before a ratbag government got them to this no win situation.

Not to worry Hasbeen, my son lives in Victoria-shu and if it all goes
wrong I will have to get a visa from Beijing for my passport.

The Mexicans are known for having a thin skin so they will have to
get used to more of this.
