Sprry I do have to call the author out for decrying sensationalist headlines for driving public policy on the one hand then doing exactly the same himself to make his own point.

My view is that this nonsense foisted on us is the real disease! When politicians and public Service mandarins get pay cuts never mind no pay I will see this as some sort of emergency.
This is hammering our businesses, savings and life styles to grind us into poverty. Then they can savour the travel and luxuries without seeing us get any which will double the sweetness!
I will not vote for Victoria's Andrews or Morrison and I think the level of resentment in the general community is greatly underestimated.
As for "we are all in this together" that's the equivalent of saying heads we win and tails you lose!
