Dearest Murray "River" Hunter of cute little Orangutans

Is it not obvious, for you by now, that THE Donald Trump is the greatest statesman (not Pericles nor Churchill) de world has ever seen, while making the Beast with two backs with expensively bought Slovenian supermodels)?

The Trumpster like Mongo, "only pawn in game of life" http://youtu.be/SKRma7PDW10

With those profundities, in the only comment so far in your article. If Putin wrote Blazing Saddles http://youtu.be/VPIP9KXdmO0 I endeth this profoundeth epistle.

Get-up discovered the broad avenue of social media, where dwell the disenfranchised majority.
A sure winner.

Murray Hunter unfortunately is correct in his analysis of the increasing, creeping deterioration in the ‘right’ of ‘free speech’, an attribute that has been a major contributor to the advance of civilisation since the 17th Century when the ‘Enlightenment’ gained ascendency.

Our future will be compromised in many obvious and subtle ways as a result, to the detriment of all.

It is very hard to turn such a monolithic movement around, but if we value our future and the future of our children, we need to take a stand and fight this very negative trend in every way we can.

You do not have to agree with the views of others as they will be many and varied, but we must fight for their right to express them. If we do not agree we then have the right to say so.

No one is right about everything, and experience, knowledge, science and evidence should be able to be cited as well as other aspects that may not have been thought about or included in the original judgement. We learn by experience. That is the way progress occurs and we need to ensure that it continues with the least restriction possible.

That is how we achieve the maximum benefit for society.
