Christmas, it is often said, is a time for giving. Perhaps the greatest gift we can offer those we love is the gift of our attention.

Good advice for people like yourself Mal! Make sure you observe it!

And leave the rest of us, particularly those who, live alone, never get visitors, cannot get out and about without assistance, can't drive very far, can't afford the gas anyway, if they could!

Therefore and through no deliberate intention of theirs have no other social life, leave them, as always, to sort it out for themselves.
