Supreme Court: serving or subverting democracy? : Comments

By Mal Fletcher, published 25/9/2019

Democracy breaks down when there is no public trust. It breaks down, too, when accepted parliamentary procedure - accepted by convention, if not by written code - is second-guessed by the courts.

Thank God for the supreme court and British democracy.

Without which Boris would have gotten away with his authoritarian BS.

And defied the will of the people! And reportedly, lied to the Queen? It doesn't get much worse than that and to avoid having to go hat in hand to Brussel to win and accept a Brexit The Brits can all live with?

He's not a skilled negotiator but goe about it as he took over the PM's job like a raging bull in a china shop.

He more than anyone used Brexit to bring down the PM who's job he clearly coveted? And when push came to shove? Clearly inept!

What utter garbage Alan. Typical anti Trump/Boris rubbish.

The previous PM brought herself down by trying to avoid doing the bidding of the people. They voted for Brexit, & she connived with others to prevent it happening.

She was the UK equivalent of Turnbull, being the opposite of what she claimed. The poms are well rid of her, & with any justice will be well rid of the EU.

How can that be called democratic when the people voted for Brexit but a handful of hangers-on bureaucrats & politicians vote against it. Democratic indeed !

The lying liberal media, the political elite and Marxist hate democracy. That is why Trump never describes them more accurately than the swamp. Unfortunately the Judicial system has been overtaken by activist who don't even know that a baby born with a penis is male. The tantrum throwers who protest against what the people have voted on are usually Marxist who have infiltrated every level of Government and educational brainwashing institutions.
