By Alon Ben-Meir, published 11/6/2019

All nations ought to take measures to prevent future genocide. We must remain vigilant and do whatever it takes to prevent mass killings.

While I echo your sentiments, Alon. And that we must do whatever it takes! That whatever it takes must needs be, include world war three. With all that implies.

The main problem as I see it implementing your wish list. Is, we doesn't, never has and never ever will include them!

And here I refer to rogue states and rogue leaders, tinpot tyrants and warmongering dictators, who want to rule and own the world.

Some of who own the power to veto in the security council!

Alon, do you ever look in the mirror and see reflected back at you a voice in the wilderness and champion of lost causes?

The "lesson from history" which everybody should learn from, Alon ben Meir, is that human beings are tribal and territorial, and that is in our DNA. You can't change that, because it is one of the qualities which makes us human. Humanitarians like yourself just can't seem to get that through your thick heads. You see a simplistic way of achieving world peace by mixing up the religions and ethnicities of the world so that no race or religion has a "territory", and trying to create a global identity.

People do not think that way, Alon. It is as stupid as saying that human beings can stop overpopulation by telling teenagers not to have sex. The more that any authority tries to enforce uniformity, the more individuals want to express either their individuality, or their loyalty to a smaller group.

We live on a planet which is already hideously over populated and things are getting worse every year. If you don't like genocide, well, all I can say is, you had better get used to it. Because in a world where territory is shrinking and populations are exploding, the one thing in the future which is going to be cheap, is human life.

Western democracies and those Asian nations which have largely adopted our ways have declining populations because the people in those countries are generally smart, and they know that having lots of kids will reduce their living standards. Unfortunately, this does not sit well with our economic system which demands endless growth. Which means that there is much support from the moneyed and ruling classes for increased immigration.

The next lesson from history, Alon, is that tolerance reduces, as unassimilatable minority populations increase through immigration or birth rate differentials. Sooner or later, critical mass is achieved and the result will always be, serious social unrest, terrorism, calls for separatism, civil war, and genocide.

Calling for high school students to study genocide to prevent it, is like telling high school students to study crime to prevent crime. It ain't gonna happen, Alon.
