Ineffective leadership in Australia has created a culture of weakness : Comments

By Tony Holmwood, published 27/5/2019

In Australia, our political system promotes all the wrong childhood, competitive behaviours like tactical play, groupthink, manipulating, and even backstabbing over our more mature adult behaviours.

We are in the position we are in with politics, simply because it is a control system which lends itself to capture.

Money is not the root of all evil, but the love of it! It is those most in love with money, controlling political outcomes for (mostly) those without it, which best describes our position!

Democracy was embraced by those same lovers of money, to fool those without into believing those without, could share in the spoils of progress.

Self delusion is the problem!

Emotional intelligence ttbn. It's the trick con men use to get past logic & reasoned responses. The same thing with the huge percentage of women who's thinking never got past their hormone controlled womb.

It is an indictment of our times that there are people who make their living pushing this stuff to people who never learned to use their brain.

People who use it need a calculator to work out the change for a bus ticket, & believe in global warming.

'In the end Scott Morrison got elected, not because he will make a good leader, but because he appealed to the fears and insecurities of the less educated people in our communities who want secure jobs'

we know the code for 'deplorables' and yet its the 'educated' who send faeces to pollies in envelopes, that lay like spoilt little brats on roads demanding 'action' on a made up problem, throw tantrums when they don't get their own way and often fly the globe while insisting others don't. Look at Zali who has no solar panels, drives a petrol guzzler and insists on people not breathing as much. The 'elite' hate the fact that other than brainwashed school kids they can be seen straight through by the deplorables.

Hard to disagree with this Tony. But you've really only scratched the tip of the iceberg, regarding lack of both trust and vision.

Moreover, the courage of conviction that would allow us to do what must be done, while there is yet time to do it and on multiple fronts. Energy, security, reindustrialisation. Specifically by the self-evident simplicity of attacking and removing both poverty and legendary price gouging plus complete unproductive middlemen who add nothing but the profit demands as their involvement, literally double the cost of living/doing business!

Patently our current crop of lacklustre pollies are hopeless as managers and lack charisma perceived personal integrity and future vision! And almost to a generic man, are there to feather personal nests as the voters are treated with massive disrespect and are only the mugs out there in mugsville! Quote, unquote.

Without bipartisan pragmatism and representatives with a vastly different and massively more caring attitude to others besides themselves, idiotic ideologies and party politics of division. Nothing of worth or value changes.

We could if well led by a decisive intelligent leadership regain what we once had, i.e., reset as the third wealthiest nation on the planet or better and a creditor one at that!

As opposed to one mired in unprecedented debt and going backwards economically/to hell in a handbasket. Like warm and comfortable frogs being very gradually brought to the boil in a bowl of water!

Do we really need another depression and another global war to get real change and real committed leadership/genuine environmental and economic rationalism.

As those flooded out in our north or still experiencing the consequences of the worst drought in living memory further south now understand?

Without a healthy environment. there is no economy, Genius!

Time to end the endless (blah, blah) prevarication and mindless (blah, blah) vacillation/sell it and us down the river and begin now to decarb the economy. And in a way that doesn't tank the economy but rather, massively turbocharges it!

AND VERY DOABLE!

Enough with the excuses and blame game already. Don't just do something, stand there.

Yes runner, like those made up massive floods to our north or those made up (worst in living memory) drought/fish kills further south.

Clearly, nothing real has changed in the (flat earth) bubble that is your personal reality!

Must be a huge comfort to know you're the most intelligent human in the universe/spokesperson for God and never ever wrong.

You'll have a nice day now y'hear.
