Politicians and police can't do their jobs properly, so let's sell deadly drugs legally! How bloody stupid can you be! This the sort of stuff would make sense if you wanted to get into the drug trade yourself; but this man is a solicitor. We do not need drugs, other than the kind prescribed by doctors. Thousands of people are already handicapped or dead with the help of the legal drug, alcohol. So, let's put more people in the gutter, eh?

The calls for testing drugs taken by kids at music festivals is a more subtle way of condoning drugs; this blatant call for the legalisation of dangerous drugs is outrageous.

Trendy young hipsters like Vladamir have a problem. They like to present themselves as far seeing progressives with a superior moral code to the rest of us deplorable bogans. But they also like taking illegal drugs, and they don't want to stop taking illegal drugs. This does not sit well with their self declared position of supposed moral authority.

So the trick is to do what every non conformist contrarians loves to do, turn logic on it's head. Declare that the real intelligent and moral position is to legalise illegal drugs. However, this "solution" does not sit well at all with parents and grandparents, who just happen to be the most responsible demographics within any society. Therefore, no western country has tried it, except in "liberal" and decaying crap holes like California, and Holland, where they are now rueing their stupidity of attracting the worst kinds of foreign tourists.

The example Vlad uses is the case of the lawyer who put the concerns of the community over her clients. The problem was, that Australia has imported so many dangerous foreign criminals that have no intention of obeying our laws, that the drug crisis is getting out of control, and there were drug related killings all over Melbourne and Sydney. So the Victorian police did something smart and used a lawyer to get the goods on these criminals. If that is undermining our justice system, then something is wrong with our justice system already when corpses are piling up all over Sydney and Melbourne and the situation keeps getting worse.

There are other solutions, Vlad. Since the pop music industry is the advertising arm of illegal drugs, declare (like Japan) that any pop group endorsing drugs or who's band members have been convicted of drug use, will not be welcome in Australia. It is funny how we ban cigarette advertising, and then pretend that pop groups and pop stars advocating illegal drug abuse is somehow different. Execute all serious drug traffickers. Instigate a 10 year probation period for Australian citizenship. Any serious criminal behaviour, especially drug trafficking, and out you go.

Drugs, as heinous as they are, are in fact the best solution to cleanse the Gene pool.

The war on drug continues after more than eighty years and has cost more lives than those lost by America on the battlefields of WW11! And ties up our police force and justice system with most petty crime addicts. And clogs and overfills our prisons particularly remand with petty crime addicts.

The new trade is in legally prescribable, opioids far stronger than pure heroin! With sentinel being ten times stronger?

Portugal and other countries have decriminalised drug usage without any increase in drug-related crime or addiction, but rather, its reverse? Plus subsequent easing of the police force and justice system workload. With prisons and prison time dedicated to crimes that are more serious/include victims.

Even so, dealing remains a criminal offence.

I cannot overemphasise this! Successful drug busts and a heroin drought created ice and a market for it and the subsequent horrendous and mindless harm! Nothing else! And thousands of violent mindless crimes!

Families ripped asunder, their meagre resources plundered, health professionals and Ambos attacked when trying to assist addicts!

Doing what you've always done while expecting a different result! Is insanity!

Lawyer X and those who blackmailed her? grossly undermined laws, and the rule of law, in Australia.

Many drug lords will get out early and could sue the Victorian Government, ie. TAXPAYERS, for $Billions.

You could also add that laws are good and effective if they represent sound societal attitude which evolves through the integrity of each person.
I accept that this is idealistic, but then isn't every human resolve to be a more ethical being the result of overcoming many idealistic challenges?
