Budget cuts? You must be kidding. : Comments

By David Leyonhjelm, published 27/12/2018

If the Government’s financial statements were subject to the same rules as a private company, Treasurer Frydenberg and Finance Minister Cormann would be at risk of going to jail.

Creative accounting David? Even If you are right? What can anyone do about it? Simply put, this current coalition government is almost as popular as a pork chop at a bah mitzvah.

And there's a war chest to build, an impending election and the party furniture to save? Some marginal seats pork barrelling and a shipload of non-core promises for those mugs out there in mugsville.

A real leader would have by now put the option of ultra-cheap safe clean carbon-free walk away safe nuclear power on the table, and the annual billions we could earn by also deploying them as nuclear waste burners.

To provide safe, clean, carbon-free energy so cheap, the likes of Elon Musk would set up an electric car company and battery factory here!?

Alan B,
Don't worry because if Labor gets in all the money will be blown again in the first six months.
As it became known that we're almost in the black again, labor's already planning the spending sprees.

I suspect you are right David however when Shorten gets his hand on the till I think you will be saying the Liberals stole candy in comparison. You can be sure all union heavy industries will be paid back big time while genuine workers taxed more and more.

Well David L., you heard it here on the Forum
first. Don't blame the Liberals for their woes
and the mess they're in. It's all Labor's fault,
as usual. Blame everything on Labor,
as usual. And then wonder why the Libs keep
losing elections!

Foxy,
Are you trying to tell us Labor aren't irresponsible squanderers ?
Don't you have an interest in history ?

"There's no fate but what we make for ourselves." Sarah Connor- Terminator

Sarah Connor was taking though her you know what !

We can only make for ourselves what the insipid bureaudroids in Govt authorities let us make.
