By David Singer, published 6/12/2018

The lack of any peace agreement with the PLO has caused negotiations to be conducted in an atmosphere of confrontation and mutual distrust.

'100-years old Jewish-Arab conflict'

I thought Bibi and MBS were already like boyfriend and boyfriend.

Hi David

In a Santa (or Hanukkah ending December 10, 2018) gesture I'll try to go a little easier on your wabble of wowdy webels words of wisdom. http://youtu.be/7Lc86JUAwwg?t=58s

Where you argue the People's Front of Judea and Samaria

"could end the 100-years old Jewish-Arab conflict".

I'll hazard guess, and even a bet, that this is unlikey to happen.

So many American diaspora and oil-Arab donors, political careers, IDF, Mossad and Shabak http://www.shabak.gov.il/english/Pages/index.html#=1 careers, Dimona bomb builders, jihadist-insurgents-terrorists, front-line Arab states and the like

have invested in and are reliant on continuing conflict, that they won't stop till hell freezes over

or the money, bullets and semtex runs out.

There was a peace agreement, a roadmap and an agreed two-state solution! With the Israeli Leader who negotiated it, assassinated. Everything turned to shite since then with ever more illegal Israeli settlements. For mine, the economic boycott must continue and ramp up and up until this matter is settled

Meanwhile why not check out the essay by the truth-telling Chris Hedges titled The Film the Israel Lobby Does Not Want You To See.

The relationship between Isreal and Jordan appears to me to have the most potential (over the past 25 years) to make this region tolerable/peacefull. Were Trump be some form of catalist in enabling this to happen, it would make the most delicious irony. A Nobel Peace Prise awarded to Bibi, King of Jordan and Trump would be so very approptiate. I think the complete by-passing of Abbas and Hamas in the process would be helpfull. Add Saudi Arabia (with Qualification) to the mix and it could almost be do-able. Iran will be the Fly in the ointment. Mutual financial interests and developmental aid from Isreal and USA to Jordan and its’ people would be such a positive outcome to Jordans’ people.

«Redefining the boundary between two countries sharing a signed peace treaty is infinitely easier to achieve than creating a potentially-hostile third state between them that seeks both their destruction.»

How can anything be "created" which is already there?

The people in between, including both the so-called "Palestinians" and the Jewish Messianic settlers, are ALREADY hostile to Israel and Jordan: none of these two good countries should have to suffer them as citizens, to undermine them from the inside.

So what to do?

I agree with Prompete that Abbas and Hamas ought to be by-passed as they are of ill-will and there is no point talking with them.

So don't ask them - just build a massive tall wall around them, over Israel's pre-1967 borders, and lock them inside, along with their friends, the Jewish settlers to get rid of both in one go!

Whatever they do inside their territories, including whether they declare statehood(s) is none of Israel's and Jordan's business, but once enclosed, if they ever dare attacking Israel or Jordan, then the consequences for them would be terrifyingly devastating.
