Libya's lost hope : Comments

By Felix Imonti, published 3/12/2018

When the United States, France, the U.K. and a number of other governments sent forces into Libya, the people were to have security and democracy. Seven years later, all that they have had is chaos, death and destruction.

Other than give a historical chronology on events concerning the fall of Gadhafi and the aftermath, I don't know what point Felix Imonti is trying to make. There is an implication that the USA and the Euros did something wrong by helping to oust Ghadafi, but he did not present any argument to support that premise.

If blaming the yanks and euros for the events in Libya was Felix Imonti's intention, then his own account of the Byzantine nature of Libyan politics should give any objective reader pause to consider how anybody could judge what action was the right or wrong in Libya's case.. But one thing was certain, the civilised world only intervened when Gadhafi was clearly winning and he vowed to wreak terrible and bloody revenge on his opponents.

But no matter what the yanks and euros had done, the leftists will damn them if they do, and damn them if they don't.

The problem with dealing with Muslims, is that their leaders are usually either, bad, very bad, much worse, or absolutely crackpot religious fanatics. And that even bloodthirsty, sex mad lunatics like Ghadafi can be useful in holding another unstable multicultural society together. Especially if he stops supporting state sponsored terrorism and just sells the Euros the oil they most desperately need to keep their advanced economies running.

The most elementary mistake the West keep making is thinking that all races, ethnicities and cultures are equal. The "Arab spring" was hoped to herald the overthrow of every tin pot Arab dictator and his replacement with democracy. The Arabs were supposed to be able to think intelligently like we do. But Arabs are not Germans, Japanese, or East Europeans. Democracy is against their religion and Arabs take their religion very seriously. Tribal loyalties and tribal affiliations also mean much more to Arabs than to other people.

But like a Creationist advocating Intelligent Design, the Left will never give up on their sacred belief that all are equal. So the only thing they can do is to chant their default racist position, "Blame everything on the white guys."

What they have, is entirely of their own making, as they systematically destroyed what they were given along with freedom of democracy and liberation.

If they value freedom? Why don't they fight for it instead of asking the west to yet again rescue them from power crazy warlords and the survival of the most dishonest cruel and barbarous MASTERS!

A problem with Gaddafi and Saddam Hussein is that Russia can now murder spy-traitors in Britain and several thousand Ukrainian nazi traitors and not blink. They can bomb Syrian kids and it's background traffic noise.

To some extent I agree with LEGO. The Allies did not launch an attack on peaceful natives, when the Allies intervened it was to stop one half of the country under Ghadaffi from butchering the other half. That this has repeated itself in most other Arab countries is not a surprise.

Never mind (Lego) that Libya was defined as one of the "axis of evil" countries by the village idiot from Texas.

Furthermore it was also one of the seven islamic countries designated by general Wesley Clarke to be taken out by the neo-psychotics who were at the time in power in Washington.

Hilary (killary) the queen of chaos finished off the job in Libya.

The taking out project has obviously failed in the case of Syria. Meanwhile the drums of war are still beating re the possibility of taking out Iran.

It's always the helping hand that gets accused, never the morons who take but never give, not even tolerance.
