ALL the ABC cares about nowadays is Politics... of the Socialist variety. Be it 'News','Reports', "Analysis ', Q&A , ABC 24, The so called 'Conversation'... ALL its' Presenters, its'so called 'Comedy' even their Entertainment is laced with Socialism or 'equality' .. The bloody stuff is everywhere. Basically , I have now , 65 years after becoming an Argonaut, given up on THEIR ABC because it is no longer MY ABC..

Many of us are turning to the press in US or UK instead of the ABC
Try this on the gun debate in USA: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2018/feb/21/florida-cnn-town-hall-what-survivors-had-to-say Posted by Waverley, Thursday, 22 February 2018 5:19:45 PM

Mr ABC here is a story that could potentially effect everyone take this one. You can title it the death of free speech.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5420761/Perth-school-teacher-hot-water-transgender-comment.html A primary school teacher faces disciplinary action for claiming a transgender prostitute was put where she 'belongs' after being sent to a men's prison. Perth teacher Melanie Kennedy made the comment on a Perth Now Facebook post about Clayton James Palmer, who was jailed last Friday for infecting a client with HIV. The transgender prostitute - also known as CJ - was sentenced to six years in a men's prison for causing grievous bodily harm. 'At least they put him where he belongs...in a male prison. That is what he is!' Ms Kennedy - a primary school teacher at Pickering Brook Primary School - wrote in response to the sentence. Ms Kennedy's comment received more than 40 'likes' before an outraged reader shot back at the teacher. God, let's hope your son isn't transgender,' the Facebook user wrote. 'Let's hope not!' Ms Kennedy replied. Another person took to her employer's Facebook page, claiming Ms Kennedy was spreading 'uneducated bile' and calling for her sacking. The person added: 'Shame you would think someone that is a teacher would be well educated and not a mud flinging neanderthal stirring up hatred for minorities. 'She should not be in a position to mould innocent minds.' Ms Kennedy's comment was reported to the Department of Education who confirmed she could face disciplinary action, WA Today reported. 'The matter relating to a primary school teacher had now been referred to the Standards and Integrity directorate for assessment,' the Department of Education said in a statement. Meanwhile Professional Standards and Conduct executive director Eamon Ryan said all Department of Education employees should be familiar with its social media guidelines, which says it's 'vital' teachers ensure material published 'is respectful of all individuals. I think ABC can't be all things to all men, women, straights, gays, transgender, etc etc
We do get favourite victims being paraded around for our sympathy. Look at the token Muslim woman so often featured on SBS. And on ABC. Tedious. Perhaps we would feel more for the gays if we weren't hit over the head with so much stuff on gay marriage again and again. Who gives a toss? Most gays happy to live their own lives without the encumbrance of marriage anyway. Yep, far too many victims on ABC. Especially bleating middle-class outspoken women who always seem to have something to complain about. Most women seem happy to go about their business, if unmolested Posted by Waverley, Friday, 23 February 2018 8:47:21 AM

West is wrong to say that “We expect the ABC to be a bit better than this”. No we don't. We expect the rubbish they put out because that's what we have become used to – non-stop, Left wing bigotry and bias. But, during 'ratings' periods (why the ABC has to worry about ratings on their free billion dollars a year is a mystery) the actual entertainment programs – what people want from TV – are not bad to pretty good. And the political branch has been taken over by females with harsh, whiny accents and poor diction.
The complaints about advertisements have been going on for a long time, and nothing is likely to be done about them. Actually, nothing is likely to be done about the ABC at all. Successive governments and and communications ministers have not had the guts to do anything and, if we keep voting for the same drones, none ever will.
Going “downhill at a gallop”? No. The ABC reached the bottom of the hill long ago, and it is never likely to climb back up, thanks to do-nothing gutless politicians who should be telling the ABC to lift its game or be sold off.
