Theresa May reaches out to Jacinda Ardern: women mentoring women : Comments

By Angelika Heurich and Jo Coghlan, published 30/10/2017

Julia Gillard received media coverage that was at best uncalled for and at its worst, offensive, sexist, and vulgar. Clinton received similar vitriol, upon which she reflected in a recent interview.

Can't understand why the "ladies" thought this was noteworthy or of any significance or importance? Unless they want to keep the glass ceiling?

I don't see anything special in decent folk reaching out to other decent folk, regardless of political affiliation or gender!

And will likely be the accepted norm, when we all see it as the accepted norm!

Rather than seeing it as inherently noteworthy?

And when standard cultural practice? My Daughters and Granddaughters will thank you!

So will meritorious selection for merit's sake!

Be careful with all that pushing ladies, as sometimes, when the pendulum has swung too far too soon for comfort?

Some folk, [old, privileged white males,] will likely push back harder!? And try and trump these reverse role outcomes?

Softly, softly, catchee monkey

“Help” from Theresa May, the PM who wiped out her predecessor's huge majority with an unnecessary and unwanted election would be the kiss of death, in my view; she is now busy wrecking the popular 'Brexit', which she didn't believe in in the first place, and she is now making that dissent clear. But, of course, what passes for government now is also the kiss of death for New Zealand. As Paul Collits wrote in Quadrant online yesterday:

“A new Prime Minister, who deems capitalism a failure is led by a matchmaking huckster to the altar of expediency where a bevy of green-tinted ratbags wait to tie the knot with vows and commitments of Whitlamesque inanity. God help New Zealand because this rabble certainly won't”.

When people start harping about gender, all common sense goes out the door.

"Labor candidates in Australia benefit from mentoring via Emily's List, with former and current politicians as its members, including Julia Gillard. Emily's List in the US continues to support the campaigns of Democrat women, including Hillary Clinton in 2016"

Careerist, educated, middle class, left leaning, self-entitled womyn helping themselves to guvvy jobs and hoping to expand into the company boardrooms through more free rides. Fat lot they care about women outside of their little clique.

Australia does not need more cronyism, more mates doing mates favours, especially the imported US Democrat kind of wealthy political opportunists like Hillary Clinton.

"EMILY's List is an American political action committee (PAC) that aims to help elect pro-choice Democratic female candidates to office. It was founded by Ellen Malcolm in 1985.[4] According to the Washington Examiner, Emily's List is "the nation's most influential pro-choice political action committee."[5]

The group's name is an acronym for "Early Money Is Like Yeast", Malcolm commenting that "it makes the dough rise".[4] The saying is a reference to a convention of political fundraising: that receiving lots of donations early in a race is helpful in attracting subsequent donors.

Emily’s List bundles contributions to the campaigns of pro-choice Democratic women running in targeted races" . [Wikipedia]

Come off it girls.

When you straight out lie to the public before an election, then immediately prove you lie, you deserve a whole lot more condemnation than Gillard ever got. Gillard was treated A whole lot more gently than she ever deserved.

I suppose it is difficult being a woman, wanting to see more women in leadership positions. It must be particularly hard for lefties, after every female leader Labor has pushed up have been abject failures.

Now the poor kiwis have a silly a silly little girl, who thinks democracy has failed, horse traded into control of New Zealand.

I reckon the next wave of boat people will be coming from the south east, rather than the north west.

Perhaps you should stop pushing, until you actually have a woman of some demonstrated ability, other than the ability to stuff up mightily.

And the media is so kind to Trump. Remember the ABC depicting Abbott having sex with a dog. That's right with no moral basis to draw from Emilys list would see little wrong with this. Such selective outrage.
