By Darren Nelson, published 15/8/2017

Inequality of wealth is certainly an economic phenomenon worthy of study. However, significant levels of inequality are not an economic problem in itself.

Another populist fishing expedition by Electricity Bill. The fact that inequality has not substantially changed since the 80s doesn't seem to bother him.

I guess that he just wants an excuse to ramp up income taxes.

Its more a question of how the " Unequal" are treated isn't it?
Inequality in housing is vastly worse since the 80's
Inequality in how renters are treated, is now more obvious since they fast approach the majority.

People dependent on fixed incomes are vastly worse off by the sale for profit making, of essential services such as water and electricity, to private providers.
Inequality is a rising tide obviously.
And not forgetting the stellar increases in rates and taxes on those with private housing through the manipulation of State Givernments scrambling to balance budgets.

Sadly for the uequal, their plight will be worsened by the implication of Shorten proffering salvation. How could that ever work with his history of exploiting of the lowest paid workers as a history?
