I wonder how many squillions Chinese bicycle manufacturers pay to town planners, under the table, to get them to make such totally stupid decisions?

First we should ban bicycles from all public roads. Then we should make it a condition of employment as a planner, that applicants must prove they have never ever visited Copenhagen.

I don't share the ultra simplistic, views of this city centric author!

Most families need a motor vehicle! And if that vehicle, were to be, an autonomous self drive electric rideshare company vehicle? As many as four employees could share it, meaning three quarters of the commuting traffic could be kept off the roads?

Flexi hours would also assist! As would work and study at home options!

Moreover, the aforementioned autonomous vehicle could be instructed as it dropped its last passenger, to go legally park itself, in a company basement car park, where a magnetic interface could recharge it?

Parking is not an addiction, but rather, an absolute essential for commuting workers, students and shoppers!

It's risible rubbish examples like this that stall progress and just pile up endless difficulties for those, who have no other means to get to work/get the kids to school/run essential errands and perform emergency transfers/evacuations! And let's not exclude equally essential recreation!
