While there are some persuasive arguments for democratizing all political parties and also a citizens initiated referendum? Citizens are already (mis)represented along with their zealously sought for views? (hahahahaha) Oh my aching ribs!

What is clearly missing in our alleged democracy, is a bill of (fiercely resisted to the penultimate breath by most politicians) is a irrevocable bill of rights!

I'm somewhat enamoured of summits, where the most able minds selected by the citizenry; are tasked with putting forward workable proposals to deal with long standing conundrums that affect us all!

Some of which are the cost of energy and our multifaceted, multilayered extraordinarily complex tax system!

Now they are the bread and butter practicalities, along with genuine equality before the law, which need to be addressed ahead of further illusionary democratisation!?

I think what you are talking about is a rubber stamp.
