Not everyone goes to the internet to reinforce their own point of view. My values are diametrically opposed to most OLO viewpoints. However, I enjoy reading and participating in OLO commentaries, even though I get savagely and personally abused at times - particularly when I offer a feminist analysis. However, I know that the savage attacks are coming from a place that I need to know and understand. If I thought that I had some sanctimonious right to change people's viewpoints, then I would have left long ago.
