Will 'the gay vote' have an influence in the upcoming City of Sydney Council elections?

It is an indictment on the minority sexualities community that they are so self-centered. They are part of a much wider community yet seem to want to hug the attention out of all proportion to their numbers.

What are the 'issues' that they have which need to be addressed and how do they compare in importance with other very real needs that need to be addressed in any large city? How many issues can there be surrounding sexuality? Criminalisation of homosexuality is not an issue in Sydney. Even if you think same-sex marriage is an issue then polls tell us that it is going to happen and the Sydney Council cannot make it happen any quicker or any more 'completely'. There are discrimination laws which protect them as far as can reasonably be expected. What are the other issues that they cannot address themselves?

The more 'out' they become the more despicable they begin to look and none of it has to do with their sexual behaviour. It is selfishness, inordinate need for attention, bullying and preciousness - these are very unattractive characteristics in any person regardless of sexuality. It is these attitudes that will eventually turn people against them and so it should. A lot of what is labeled as homophobia is really just a disgust with this self-centred attitude.

Who knows?

On another note, My laptop was recently compromised by a Trojan? And testament to the hack-ability of virtually unhackable (cloud technology) windows 10?

Which allegedly guaranteed my private browsing would remain private! But seems to have been as private as if Microsoft (India?) was watching over my shoulder my every key stroke? At least that seemed the case when I contacted the accompanying (windows 10) gold plated extremely expensive security? The "lady" knew my every move and browsing history with no input from me!

That being so, I warn anyone contemplating using this super beut marvelous technology, to make sure nothing of any importance is stored in the memory!

That said, in order to stay online I've had to boot up the old desktop with antiquated XP, where I overlooked the fact I hadn't updated my new persona and current Email! Consequently I posted as Alan B. and was reported as coming from Rhrosty! Which I inadvertently overlooked completely!

I am guilty of failing to update this old computer due to a couple of dramas, which resulted in Alan B. apparently contributing from Rhrosty's place, and I apologize to one and all for the furore that created?

Rest assured, my details have now been updated on the old desktop also, which will have to do duty again until the laptop is thoroughly disinfected! Lest my laptop becomes a platform for someone else's dilemma and attempted (security service?) blackmail?

Unless I'm certain that all the bugs have been completely ironed out, I will iron them out under the wheels of my car! My sincere apologies to all the other contributors for the oversight!

When I replace my compromised Laptop, I intend to go for Apple Mac, which seems thus far to remain fee of these ugly little blood sucking parasites of Microsoft and windows!? And online life as private as a goldfish in a goldfish bowl!?

My spinal injury cost me my marriage and my carrier, and like almost every other disabled person I know of; all that gives one self esteem is one's integrity!
Sorry, Alan B.

Hi Alan,

I would like to agree with you entirely, except that it might reach the Microsoft thought police within seconds. Darn, I shouldn't have used a identifiable term like 'thought police'.

Cheers,

Joe

I'm singularly unimpressed with high profile homosexuals. There should be a law against exposing homosexuality as an attribute intended to leaver individuals into public office!

I was in Port Kembla during the reign of two high profile homosexual peodaphiles in public office during the 1980's . What a disgusting excuse for humanity they were.

Both these scumbags were exposed during the wood royal commission in 1988. And both were Lord Mayors of Wollongong, Tony Bevan and Frank Arkell.
Arkell was brutally murdered by his "toy boy" in 1988.

People should not be fooled into thinking that homosexuals are a benign and timid addition to public life. Behind every homosexual is more than his best friend!

Alan,

I can empathise with your Windows 10 and Microsoft problems. I bought a new laptop a few months ago. I got so sick of the pop ups and swindlers telling me that 1,041 faults had been found, and that I should sign up and pay up for their you-beaut system to fix it; the realisation that I would have to pay for a word processor, plus being told that my "pc was infected" and if I continued usuing it they would cut me off, made be decide that I would only use the thing for editing photographs, off line. I don't even have an email account on it. I had massive problems with Windows 10 on a previous laptop, but was able to to revert to Windows 8.1, before I got so fed up with Microsoft that I took a claw hammer to the device. I now use an android tablet for most things. Your suggested change to Apple might be the way to go.
