The current President of Turkey must have found the current Israeli action against the Palestinians quite instructional, given a peace deal with the Kurds was quite literally destroying his prospects of reelection. Who needs enemies when you have friends like that?

And who in their right mind is going to give peace a chance when all that keeps them in power is conflict?

And let's not forget the billions in economic activity for the arms industries of both east and west!

Before we can give peace a chance we absolutely need to remove those in powerful positions who will never allow it to happen, whoever they are and wherever they sleep! I can't say it any clearer than that!?
