Can the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank limit South China Sea pressure? : Comments

By Stewart Taggart, published 16/6/2016

China holds veto power over Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) decisions but other countries joining together can challenge it on issues like the South China Sea.

On the other hand China who can put around 50 trillion in the room, holds most of the others by the financial short and curlies and is not amenable to political blackmail or being stood over by bellicose belligerents, or wear loss of face, which in many Asian minds is worse than death!

I would proceed quietly and diplomatically proposing joint venture partnerships with a huge upside for all those currently waving their sabres and outrage at the other.

Not for nothing is it writ large, you can catch more flies with a teaspoon of honey than a whole jar of vinegar.
