By Rod McGarvie, published 31/3/2016

With the recent Sudanese gang violence in Melbourne there is yet another clear indication that our immigration system needs a comprehensive review and resetting of priorities.

Good article.

However, while the Coalition under Howard and Abbott did stop the votes very successfully, the numbskull, Turnbull, was/is very keen to import 12,000 might be/might not be Syrians who were, we were told, to be mainly Christian. As it turned, these 'refugees' are 98% Muslim, according to the UN. They are slowly coming in (around a 100 so far). The first four were definitely Muslim, and we no nothing about the others because it is now a secret operation. All Syrian 'refugees'should have stayed in Turkey as their first place of asylum, in accordance with international law, but Angela Merkel had a brain storm, and overrode international law, followed closely by our own goons.

It should also should be remembered that Sudanese criminals were not illegal boat arrivals, but deliberately imported by our incompetent politicians. Labor or Liberal, instead of doing their job to protect Australia, they are willingly and recklessly importing the threat!

We are under no obligation to import generational immutable hostility or cultures struck in completely incompatible medieval genres. Nor should we.

And that is why I find myself broadly agreeing with the tenor of the article. And given the refugee camps of the world are literally overflowing with those alluded to in the article?
And given limited resettlement places.

Then just sound commonsense obliges us to preference them! As for those taking our generosity of spirit and despoiling it with entirely unacceptable anti social behavior, then rejection, the pacific solution and repatriation awaits!

Arh there is that Christian love coming out again.. here me remembering Christians arguing for the Sudanese because they were Christians.

Perhaps you'll lobby for the white Australian policy which you seem to have outlined in your article!

Thank goodness for the recent senate voting changes will ensure it is not likely you'll get a seat.

Ha! This is rich, an LNP member demanding of immigrants levels of patriotism and civic pride which when expressed by native born Australians earns them a drubbing in the press and potentially a severe kicking by CFMEU and Socialist Alliance goons should they express those thoughts in public

Oh absolutely we should be keeping violent people out of our country.

The recent Mafia gangland shooting death of Acquaro in Melbourne has the Italian Government upset with the way the Australian authorities are not dealing with the violence of these Italian murderers properly.

We need to stop all migration of Italian people to Australia, just in case a few members of the Mafia might slip in...

Suse,
You said, "Oh absolutely we should be keeping violent people out of our country".

So, I take it that you would agree to ISIL members, and those that went to Syria, be denied entry/reentry because they have shown violent actions and conduct not acceptable in our law or social standards. But you think the moderates should be allowed continued entry.

Surely you do not find the conduct of the muslims on NYE in Germany acceptable. But they are the moderates whom you would welcome here. The ones displaying such terrible conduct were the ones that fled the extremes of ISIL. You support the introduction of those that rape and sexually abuse women. Must remind you that the awful conduct in Germany was not just by a few.

So, if you want continued migration of moderate muslims then you must show how we can change muslim male cultural conduct or accept women as being sacrificial lambs for your ideology. See what you condone, it could not be planer
