By Alon Ben-Meir, published 28/1/2016

Iran perceives itself as the most significant regional power by virtue of its rich culture and long history extending over four millennia.

Maybe not, not is there any other actual choice?
Does anyone actually believe that sanctions which only ever hurt the poorest and the most vulnerable the most, is going to sway rigid immutable religious fanatics?

Or somehow moderate their spittle flecked rants or mendacious diatribes?

As always, a spoonful of honey catches more flies than a jar full of vinegar!

I think Rhosty that you are thinking you are dealing with human beings. The truth is these sleazy despotic filth who run Iran cannot be trusted. They will lie and cheat, especially their own people, never mind us in the West. Treat with them but never trust them.
The real attack should be on their religion and we should not only block them from our country but discriminate every way we can so they understand we are capable of standing up to them.

The above anti Iran sentiments expressed above are basically those peddled by the Jewish influenced Western mainstream media. Those with open minds need to keep an eye on Iranian news sites www.presstv.ir and www.english.farsnews.com . Also, remember that recent actions of the Russians helping the Syrian army have blatantly exposed the what the USA has really been doing in the area. They support "regime change" to create small fragmented states controlled by their own puppets and stooges so their banksters, corporations and military industrial complex can plunder resources and exploit the people. In the process they have sponsored wars and often secretly supported ratbag organisations to help pursue their agenda. Note Yanks and Poms have both been caught delivering supplies to Islamic State fighters.

Then their propaganda has long been constantly accusing Iran of dirty deeds including "aggression" they have been far more guilty of themselves. Iran is responding to regime change efforts the USA has been coveting since they deposed the western stooge the Shah. What countries has Iran illegally bombed and /or invaded though?

Meanwhile as well as USA dirty tricks, look at despicable behaviour by Israel against Palestinians, which thanks to the Internet is gaining more widespread coverage and international condemnation. A strong Iran is one obstacle standing in the way of the obvious Zionist long term aim of creating a Greater Israel between the Nile and Euphrates Rivers.
