Assange: the untold story of an epic struffle for justice : Comments

By John Pilger, published 5/8/2015

For three years, a police cordon around the Ecuadorean embassy in London has served no purpose other than to flaunt the power of the state.

Assange's crime in the UK is for not turning up to court. He lied and cheated the court, which was what got him (Lies & cheating) into the rape charges in the first place.
Julian a slow learner but an astronomically egotistical person. Pilger has been pushing his half-arsed views since the 1960's. I wonder where John pays taxes?

"Yeah, why don't the agencies of the fascist state get of Julian's back ? Great men also have their slight weaknesses, like ordinary people, so why can't we just put these rape allegations behind us and move on ? Those 'comrades' were probably put up to it anyway.

"Of course, the fascist Swedes will harass and harass, but why can't the British for once stick up for one of its citizens-by-residence and tell the Swedish fascists where to go ?

"The true modern Left needs people like Julian."

Pity the rest of us don't.

You know Graham, I'm pretty sure you aren't a fan of Pilger's, and you are short of editorial staff, but I am pretty sure that Pilger would not have written the word "struffle".

Even if he did, it would have been at least courteous for you as a editor to change it.

This reflects very badly on the quality of this 'publication'.

Have to agree absolutely with JBower!

Even so, I would allow this criminal to take a one way trip to ecuador,if only to save taxpayer's money.

And name him as an unfit person of low moral character if he should ever attempt to return!
Although I wouldn't prevent him trying to get in via Sweden!

And he could do the world a favor and take Putin's best mate and propaganda pulmigating mouthpiece with him!

Something is wrong here.

Previous authors on OLO, who argue that Assange is above the laws that govern normal folk, have been well-heeled lady Wiki-groupies. Slaves to A's big, bulbous, bulging input?

Pilger's product puzzles, in that respect.

No, the Majesty of the LAW. Even Leftie Princes are subject to it.
