Asia’s 21st Century ‘Pax ASEAN-Ameri-China’ : Comments

That's because current territorial tension in the South China Sea isn't about islands. It's about access to energy, fisheries and control over navigation.

While I envy your optimism, this is a pipe dream as it does not take into account the global geo-political strategy of the US.

I must have missed something in this overlong article.

Why, on Grenatec's map http://grenatec.com/asias-21st-century-pax-asean-ameri-china/ is the US included while more logical countries actually bordering the South China Sea - I mean Taiwan - not acccounted for?

Why America and not Japan, South Korea, Russia, and Australia which are much closer to that Sea?

What claim do such ASEAN countries as Burma, Cambodia and Laos (all presumably contributing nothing to oil extraction) have compared to Australia?
