Hamas feeds on the misery and anger of Palestinians. When Israel adds to that anger and suffering, it makes its own long-term security more precarious, not less.
Israel’s increasingly brutal and hard-line stance is also alienating the international community, including friends it can ill-afford to lose. I support a two-state solution, but for that to work Israel has to accept, and work to create, the circumstances in which a viable and sustainable Palestinian state can emerge that is not committed to Israel’s destruction. The current unstable equilibrium will not last forever. Any realistic outcome I can imagine other than a two-state solution will be much worse for Israelis (including Palestinian Israelis). It was, he said in a telephone interview from Israel, “nothing new.” Similar scenes, of Israeli spectators gathered on the high ground above Gaza to view the destruction below, were documented in a Times of London article http://www.miftah.org/display.cfm?DocId=18589&CategoryId=5 and a video report from Denmark’s TV2 during Operation Cast Lead in 2009. Those who criticise Israel's actions are eith fooled or willing dupes of disinformation.
The entire Palestinian refugee situation was created deliberately by the Arab states that lost their genocidal wars against the newly created state of Israel. To this day, Hamas commits crimes agaisnt humanity by making their civilians into human shields. I am proud of the Palestinian neighbours that have migrated out, including to Australia, so their children have a chance at a decent life instead of being shortlived hostages to the insane murder cults of Gaza and the West Bank. If those people had declared peace at any time since 1948, they might have a peaceful life, economic equality and even political equality. Instead we know they have been killed by the PLO, Hezbollah, Hamas and the other gangsters and killers. My hairdresser is Palestinian, said his brother was killed by no, not the Israelis - the Iranians Posted by ChrisPer, Wednesday, 16 July 2014 2:47:18 PM

The Worst Trolls On The Internet Are The Government Trolls http://investmentwatchblog.com/the-worst-trolls-on-the-internet-are-the-government-trolls/ We have all run into them. All over the Internet, there are horrible trolls that seem to delight in making life miserable for other people. But the worst trolls of all are the government trolls. And thanks to Edward Snowden, we now have some startling new evidence of what really goes on behind the scenes. According to newly revealed documents, mossad spy agency is manipulating online discussions, infiltrating the computers of specific targets, purposely destroying reputations, altering the results of online polls, and using Twitter, Facebook and YouTube for propaganda and espionage purposes. If people don’t start getting outraged about this now, the governments of the western world are going to see it as a green light to do even more. Eventually, it might get so bad that we won’t be able to trust much of anything that we see on the Internet. WHY I HEAR YOU ASK? it seems theIR SICK OF DYING IN FUTIle war Gaza: Israeli commandos ‘running like chickens’ Gaza: Israeli commandos ‘running like chickens’ http://www.pakalertpress.com/2014/07/15/gaza-israeli-commandos-running-like-chickens/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+pakalert+%28Pak+Alert+Press%29 Israel has suffered her first defeat in a ground conflict since here ill-fated foray into Lebanon in 2006. plantagenet :
"...righteous punishment and vengeance are shared across almost all of Israel's political spectrum" Is it punishment and vengeance to try and stop a continuous barrage of rockets raining down on your citizens? Can you please explain what measures other, less vengeful countries would have taken to stop a ruthless, uncompromising neighbour, openly committed to their destruction, from firing rockets at them? Rhian: "Israel's increasingly brutal and hard-line stance..." I think you might be confusing Israel with Hamas. Can you expand on this alleged brutality? Is it the ample warning they give Gaza civilians before military operations? Is it the aborted air-force strikes when civilians are in danger? Is it the acceptance of a cease fire when it is rejected by the other side? one under god: I never understood your posts and this one is no different. Like in many (most?) countries to be a dissenter on war issues is treated by too many as tantamount to treason.
