By Riaz Hassan, published 28/4/2014

Demographics require Pakistan to seek a stable Afghanistan with power-sharing among ethnic groups.

If true, why does a demonstrably duplicitous Pakistan still provide a safe haven for border hopping pashtun terrorists?
I think one would be more inclined to believe Pakistan, if they signed an alliance with the new emerging Afghan democracy; that then made extremists, using common porous borders, to continue with their terror campaign/drug trade on both sides, quite disastrous for both nations, a common enemy.

Well, it looks like we can add Pakistan to the ever growing an already long list of ungovernable, multicultural states. The question begs, why does Australia wish to emulate self evident failure?

As for the Pakis and the Taliban, if the Talibs cause a problem to Pakistan, then that is great news. It was Pakistan who created, armed and organised and the Taliban to crush the warring factions within Afghanistan to create what the Pakis hoped would be some form of stable government. That Talib government would allow Pakistan to trade with "the stans" (or what was once Soviet Central Asia) This was especially important with the discovery of large amounts of oil within those former Soviet republics.

The Pakis are now the victims of the Frankenstein they created. They would be better off divesting themselves completely of the "Pashtun" areas of Pakistan (who do not obey the Pakistan government anyway) and put a bloody big fence around the place to keep the Talib morons within their own territory. There the Pashtuns can live the way they have always done, killing each other and enjoying the fruits of their Muslim induced poverty and ignorance, forever.

And no, we don't want your "refugees". Crap in your own nest, and stay there and enjoy it.
