It is also sad to note that the NGV, with a very good collection of Greek vases had them well displayed in the past - then they more or less vanished from the public view. Now they have returned, but are appallingly displayed. In their cases against a wall only one side of the vases can be seen. As well, a calyx should be placed on a mirror for its underside to be visible. One can only ask if the NGV actually has an antiquities curator....
