While the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with many Arab regimes espouses a doctrine of anti-Americanism the Iranian people have become profoundly pro-American in recent years.

Thats his main point.

The reason why the "British invaded Iran" was because the government was pro Nazi and was about to allow Wehrmacht and Luftwaffe units operate in Iran to close off the route taken by the British and US to give military aid from to the USSR.
