Well NTP, it's a short step from giving someone a number to branding them with it, but I suspect these days that they use biometrics to link the person to the number. Less obvious, but no less offensive. What's insulting about stating the bleeding obvious: that both Hitler and the Isreaelis dehumanised people when it suited them. Australia also does it to asylum seekers, including dead ones.

You seem to have some contempt for those who have imposed themselves on Israel illegally and uninvited. I assume you have the same contempt for those Israelis who have imposed themselves illegally and uninvited on the Palestinian lands of the Occupied Territories - or are you biased ?

I am as biased as you are, only with a different view. Whether or not the Israelis should be settling on what you describe as Palestinian land is a matter of opinion only, as both sides claim that the land was theirs originally. The who and when of the argument has been lost in history, so those who are interested enough, or care enough about the crazy situation in the Middle East will have to make do with mere opinions.

However, the recent release of Palestinian terrorists and murderers, and the consequent decision by the Israeli government to increase their settlements - where you apparently think they shouldn’t – as a way of rewarding themselves for giving back the Palestinians’ their gunmen, is a clear sign that Israel is not going to stop the settlements.

My bias is towards Israel and the Jewish people because Israel is the only bulwark against Islam in the area. Israelis kill Palestinians; Palestinians kill Israelis. We are all biased in one way or the other, and you and I just happen to be biased in different directions

How many non-indigenous do you know who have a block of land that they haven't paid for.
Also, doesn't all contribution to Indigenous communities to the tune of many billions of Dollars count for anything so far as compensation is concerened ?
I don't know if Israel is paying the Palestinians for the land they occupy & how much but in Australia I'd guess most land has been paid for & most of it was land that was only ever walked across. It wasn't land which people then had put much effort into cultivating & much of the effort was then for nothing when it was bought for either a pittance or a lot.
