But we know from our own lives that the true purpose of our communities is instead to accomplish everything else.

What all this long winded, diseased English waffle is trying to do, is advocate socialist philosophy by baffling us with bulllshit.

There are two takes on where liberal free market democracy should go. The socialists, still smarting from the economic collapse of the socialist states, still dream of the bureaucrats paradise, by incrementally socialising white, free market economies through the immigration of generally welfare dependent and crime prone third world people, into first world societies. The socialists then demand that these people must be cared for by the productive, generally white, first world people.

Then there are the productive generally white, first world people who think that a government which wants to tax the productive people to death to make everybody dependent on the state, is the problem.

Chris Matthieson talks about Obamacare and that is a case in point. It is just lovely to have a nationalised health system where everybody is insured by the government, but since that same US government is now 7 trillion dollars in dept and still getting deeper into the mire at the rate of a couple of billion a month, saddling your economy with a horrendously expensive new social welfare expense which it can't afford is an act of financial lunacy.

The Tea Party advocates, which Chris sneers at, are the productive ordinary working people and the productive lower, middle, and upper middle class people who pay the taxes that keep their country afloat, and who most definitely do not want any more socialism. In the US, city after city is being bankrupted by Democrat governments who buy the votes of the ever increasing unproductive, by thinking up ever more taxes on the ever shrinking productive, and the results of that failed policy can be seen in Detroit, California, Fresno, New Orleans, Birmingham, and Philadelphia.

Any nation which fails to recognise which demographic is the most cost effective in terms of welfare, health and policing, and refuses to limit the importation of those demographics which historically are non productive, welfare prone, unhealthy, and a policing problem, will eventually go the way of Detroit.

'To admire America, as I do, is to be honest with her,' says Mark.

Snowdon and Assange have revealed America as being the most duplicitous, two-faced, brutal nation the world has ever seen.

What do you admire most about America, Mark? The millions it has killed around the world? The dropping of atomic bombs on Japan? Its invasion of Vietnam? Its genocide of the Native Indians? Its slavery and black-birding? Its use of depleted uranium in Iraq and Afghanistan (which kills its own soldiers as well as innocent Iraqi children in the womb)? Its starving of whole populations who don't dance to its capitalist tune? Its endless warmongering? Its use of drones? Its creeping imperialism? Its use of torture, rendition and assassination squads? Its support for Israel, the world's next worst nation? The list of American crimes and atrocities is endless!

America is the worst nation the human world has ever spawned!

Strange, aint it!
Both Mark and the people at the American Thinker are no friends or advocates of socialism either via centalized government fiat/planning or in the form of that created by the corporate state - that is the state controlled by corporations and engineered by corporations to further their interests at the inevitable expense of the common citizen who stays faithfully "tuned" to the "news", or more correctly TV which now commands or controls every aspect of his or her life.
Furthermore the Heritage (lies, lies and more lies) Foundation is a propaganda factory for these same corporations.

The frustrations experienced and felt by grass-roots members of the Tea Party are of course very real. But frustration is a universal condition.
As far as I know the Tea Party mass movement was mostly created and financed by those marvellous benefactors of the common good the Koch brothers, who were/are also intrumental in creating the perverse ALEC which seeks to de-regulate everything.

Meanwhile the kind of dog-eat-dog society that the Koch's have helped create and relentlessly advocate is desribed by Henry Giroux especially in his essays Cultures of Violence in the Age of Casino Capitalism, America's Descent Into Madness, and The Ghost of Authoritarianism in the Age of Shutdown.

Everybody now knows that Corporations Now Rule the World. This situation is described by Giroux, in the British case by George Monbiot in The Captive State - The Corporated Takeover of Britain, and by David Korten in When Corporations Rule the World which is introduced here:

The Third World Traveler site provides comprehensive descriptions of the very dark shadow of the American WARFARE State.

Hey, Daffy, thanks for adding your voice to the growing legions of people who see America as it is rather than what it pretends to be.

It amazes me that so many on OLO are taken in by American indoctrination. I mean, it's not as though the facts are not out there and genuine seekers of truth will find them but not the Mickey Mouse Brigade whose heroes are John Wayne and Superman!

Since 1945, the U.S. has been conning the whole world while it goes about trying to gain world domination so it can bleed the world dry.

When it gets it, '1984' will become the reality for most of the world's people. What the U.S. did to their Native Indians and blacks stolen from Africa will scarcely raise an eyebrow.

The Satanic Empire is based in Washington and Wall Street.

Use your intelligence before it's too late!

Know thy enemies!

The nice thing about modern mental heath care institutions is the open access to society of the formerly marginalised inpatient. People like the writer, whose three-dollar words mask a vacuous sucking hole of incomprehension of the institutions they shoehorn into Theory pigeonholes. Commentators that think of the public as the 'sheeple' or 'ignorant bogans' and recycle paranoid fantasies at each other
