You mentioned that you wanted to air “ the concerns that much of the population share”. How did you determine that the “population” share these concerns-- was it just one of these progressive things where if you think it is a concern then everyone else ought to think so to?

You then go on to talk about “asylum seekers” . The first thing that struck me was your use of colourful and misleading descriptions:
1) “only...a trickle …”
2) “despite the hysteria …”
3)" repel 'boats' at all costs"

And the second thing was just how poorly informed you were about the issue —you say: “the vast majority are confirmed as genuine refugees”. This is a very old chestnut that has been debunked numerous times. The fact that the majority may be given the benefit of the doubt and rubber stamped “genuine” .-- often after a series of long publicly funded appeals --does not established their genuineness. I refer you to the findings of one Bob Carr former Minister of Immigration.

Then you say “push factors are a more significant issue than pull factors”—again, how did you determine that? And how does this tally with Tamils from Sri Lanka choosing to by-pass culturally compatible Tamil Nadu --only a stones throw across the water --to sail across treacherous seas to – what you progressives usually label --racist Australia?

You second issue is anthropogenic climate change -you say: “There is now no doubt that human induced climate change is a challenge for both future generations and us” And “ no doubt that a market mechanism is the most effective way to deal with the challenges”."No doubt" is pretty strong stuff, how are you so sure, when even the IPCC still allows for some measure of doubt?


And your fourth point, one which you might have covered in one line but shuffled around about with ten. Is a call for greater funding for tertiary level education. Now on this one I can agree with you.But the way I see it, it’s doesn’t need more or bigger taxes –so the LNP can keep their electoral promises. All that is required is a diversion of funding from the illegal immigration industry, and the we-owe-the-world AGW scam to our university sector.

the twisting of words by many of our academics and media is astounding. To call those with faith in gw religion progressive is really deceitful. Having wasted billions already it is really quite regressive to continue down that path. As for promoting on gender rather than ability we have just witnessed 5 years of destruction rather than progression.
