90 per cent trust hospitals, 85 per cent public schools, 75 per cent employers, but only 25 per cent Canberra politicians.

There is no hope for us at all when the author of an article about the Federal Government and its members - who come from all over Australia - keeps on referring to them as 'Canberra'. If there is a disconnect between what the Government does and what the people want it is down to our politicians and the political parties, who these days represent a very narrow demographic so their lack of understanding it is hardly surprising. That and their preoccupation with rorting their travel entitlements.

What a sad indictment on the competence of Australians...

"Professor Andrew Markus of Monash University finds nearly 90% of us trust hospitals and police. Nearly 85% of us trust public schools. Three-quarters of us even trust employers. But little more than a 25% of Australians trust Canberra to do the right thing by them most of the time."

To think that one in four of the population... don't.
