Paul Keating laments the fate of Sydney's Botanic Gardens, but far worse the fate of Centennial Park.

Paul Keating is the biggest hypocrite of all time. He and Labor sold off the Commonwealth Bank that used to create money from nothing for some of our growth + inflation.

The Commonwealth bank plus the other big 3 are now 40% owned by JP Morgan, Citi Bank and HSBC. So most of the profits go OS. Our Govt is now totally enslaved by large corporate interests and we are their debt serfs.

This is why there is no money for infrastructure and public amenities.

Better buy some ear plugs Peter, I'm afraid you are going to have to learn to live with a bit of noise

It is about time these places were made to pay their way, rather than everyone funding a park for the lucky few in the district. A greater range of people will enjoy a concert, than will visit the park to walk the dog, or feed the ducks, in a month of Sundays.
