Tomorrow is National Bookshop Day. It's still worth leaving your screen and checking one out.

What a lovely sentiment. I can truly relate to this. I am 82 years old and still remember reading my first book of fairy tales, brought home from school, long after bed time, by the light of a small torch under my blanket.

I still love books, and treasure my collection.

I too love books, but must admit that the convenience and economy of Amazon and Book Despository mean it's a while since I spent much time in one. A pity, though.

Bookshops are cute, a bit like a museum and about as profitable. Taken over by the march through the institutions and just like the Fairfax have lost credibility and interest.
