Russian schools now teach that it was Jews who murdered the Tzar’s family. The snake oil is, at base, the blasphemous claim that God promised Palestine to those who invaded the territory three thousand years ago, butchering resident tribe after resident tribe and stealing their land, and the historically phoney claim that today's Jews are their descendants.

There can be no justification for a Jewish, Arab or any other state based on genetics (that includes the PLO definition) or on religious superstition as demanded by Moslem jihadists.

Nor can the meddling of foreigners through various "declarations", "treaties" etc. among themselves define the rightful exercise of sovereignty of those with a birthright in Palestine. That means place of birth or, for exiles, direct, individually identifiable, descendants in the same way as "patrials" recognised for acceptance for abode in Britain.

Only sovereignty by birthright can underpin lasting peace and justice in Palestine or anywhere else. No ethnic group is "special" or "chosen by God". That includes Jews.

The immediate giveaway for an antisemite is use of the term "the Jews" as committing this or that crime. Israel is not "the Jews". The Zionists are not "the Jews". The Bolsheviks were not "the Jews". "The Jews" didn't crucify Christ (the Roman state did to appease quislings).

But the Israelis did something wrong. Contrary to expectations, they were not exterminated. They fought and they triumphed. They quite rightfully took some more land from their enemies, who were going to take all of their land, and made themselves more defensible.

Now, if there is one thing the Marilyn Sheppard's of this world hate, it is a winner. They can only see the world in terms of oppressors and victims, and if you win too much, especially with US help, then you lose your victim status and become an oppressor.
