In most modern countries, voting behaviour is determined by three 'P's: party, policy, personality. In Pakistan voting behaviour is largely determined by personality of the candidate and his or her party.

Will any Islamic country ever be truly democratic ?
Is it a contradiction of terms ?
All Islamic countries are either very rich on oil and have poor civil
rights or are very poor.
It seems that in suppressing women and preventing modern development
they have forced themselves to be like Pakistan at best.
The rest are worse.
