Nuclear power is clean, long term and reliable. It could provide China with pollution-free electricity that would not hold back its economic development.

It's high time this aversion to nuclear power was abandoned. All the other options are bad for our health.

nuclear was yesterday's dream, but the world doesn't need any more Chernobyls or Fukushimas, not even a Three Mile Island close call.

Why has Germany turned its back on nuclear and is now serious about wind and solar? Because after Fukushima, all bets are off, and those two options are safe, renewable and clean. Back the Germans on this one, they're on a winner!

The air has been soup in Beijing at least 15 years from visits back then, horrible stuff to breath. It is time to accept that China, Indonesia, India and others in the area will not go with Windmills and other Greenie wet dreams (typhoons?). Real energy research (not toys on roofs), including effective storage and modular nuclear units should be considered.
