There is sex and there is onanism. There is also meat and there is faux meat. A coincidence? I think not.

It says a lot about our society that there are enough with the time energy, money & inclination, to make pretend meat something worth researching.

Perhaps a nuclear event, that only eliminated the inner city areas of all large western cities would do a lot for our gene pool, & revitalise our society.
