...I think the Anglican Church has put itself in the same parlous position as its Roman Catholic brother. When the Church becomes the big-brother welfare NGO to the community; a mammoth money-making enterprise, usurping its true purpose to worship, and to tender to spiritual needs to its parishioners, it becomes lost in its ability to recognise fundamental priorities.

...Not to condemn the social nurturing instincts of Christians, Christ himself cautioned the early Church against the danger this could become if not controlled. It is the business enterprise model of the modern Church which has become its “Achilles heel”

Here’s a thought!

...Miners dig-up minerals for wealth, (legitimate): “Big-Church” digs up wealth from welfare, and has a vested interest in poverty, (illegitimate)!
