I would like to get a message to Peter Costello to say ‘thank you, thank you, thank you!’ We are two people who work very hard trying to get ahead and have just seemed to slip over (somehow) into higher tax brackets. I appreciate what Australia must do with a small population in needing quite a lot of tax from the working population to support the infrastructure. However, when you are working very very hard and only are just able to pay your tax and have no disposable income, that is no way for a country to thrive. My view is that if people like us have no disposable income, then who is going to spend to keep the country going? I think this tax will go a long way to improve the status of all Australian citizens and residents, by creating more available money for people to spend on local, national and global businesses. I thank you for your efforts in pushing this tax break through, and I think income earners at all levels will benefit (whether they think they will or not). These tax breaks are worth celebration.

Tax? From "working people"? Is one assured as usual that all inhabitants here are mere idiots not knowing ratio between business and private taxes, and not distancing different sources generating taxes, for instance, upon producing something (farming) and while turning a dollar around pokies machines? or GST simply?
