China certainly has an extraordinarily long way to go, in its international relations and or human rights record.
For starters it needs the rule of law to apply with equal weight to every citizen, rather than exclude a privileged few. If the law enforcement curried no favour, with positions of power or privilege, China's human rights record would improve most markedly and virtually overnight. No one ought to be above the law or safe from lawful prosecution! It also needs to confer the promised democratic reforms in the recently returned or acquired territories. If the Taiwanese could look over their right shoulders and see a clearly defined form of universal suffrage and the rule of law being equally applied without fear or favour, their reluctance to reunite with the homeland might well disappear, well almost. Ditto Tibet, particularly if autonomy was actually real, rather than the perceived, endless broken record promise, rhetoric of subjugation? Without bias, Rhrosty. Could it be that only now with the ascension of China (and other developing Asian nations) that Australians have realised there's more to the world than the Americas, the European peninsular and India?

Ahmadinejad has never said he would wipe Israel off the map.He said that he hoped the present Zionist regieme would be wiped away by the pages of time. Why would he give Israel who have 200+ nukes an excuse to invade Iran?
The Zionists are the masters of deception and the ordinary citizens in Israel, suffer also under their oppression. China in my view has already passed the USA economically. When you look at all the debt, worthless derivatives and low manufacturing base, the only thing the USA has is non productive weapons. This is why they are invading so many countries for oil and minerals. Perhaps, Arjay.
>>Ahmadinejad has never said he would wipe Israel off the map.He said that he hoped the present Zionist regieme would be wiped away by the pages of time.<< That's certainly been determined to be a more accurate English translation of what he said, which Israel seems to accept. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/israeli-deputy-pm-ahmadinejad-didnt-actually-say-israel-must-be-wiped-off-the-map/ Although Ahmadinejad clearly hasn't told the Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who expresses it equally subtly, when announcing that Israel is a "cancerous tumor that should be cut and will be cut" http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/middleeast/iran/9059179/Iran-We-will-help-cut-out-the-cancer-of-Israel.html But you are right. Iran is not going to commit suicide by unilaterally taking on Israel any time soon. But the situation in Syria, if it gets worse and goes on for much longer, might create a proxy zone for the US and Russia to duke it out, with US supporting Saudi Arabia and Israel (wow!) against Syria, Iran, Yemen and a few others. You'd enjoy that, I'm sure. Posted by Pericles, Saturday, 2 June 2012 1:45:09 PM

Pericles,I don't want war.I do not understand this Russia USA relationship. On one hand Russia threatens the West not to invade Syria yet Russia/ USA have recently organised for Military exercises to happen within the USA of some 30,000 to 100,000 troops.
Study very carefully Agenda 21 est. by the UN in 1992. Bill Clinton via Presidential signing order made it law and our left wing Govts are moving us towards a totalitariarn world Govt. Posted by Arjay, Saturday, 2 June 2012 4:52:30 PM

Why the rush of China essays?
Is China gone tomorrow so needs to be written about today?
China's been a major power for 1,000s of years - like death and taxes it'll always be with us.
